Stormwall (24" x 32", oil on canvas, Nov. 1999 Ancient walls of stone hold back the surging storm water. Icy cold. Light at midnight. It's all about the feelings evoked by these images. None of this was in my mind when I painted it, but after I chose the title I realized it could not be about anything else.
