Primordial Venus (34" x 48, oil on canvas, March 1999) This one has all my tricks: the overlapping grid patterns, and flying dots, amorphous figures, the whip-snapping lariat that has shown up in so many of my paintings, and the back-and-forth peek-a-boo layers. One of these days I'm going to have to invent some new forms.
