Parents of Narnia 
(21" x 25", oil on canvas, October 2006)

Right after finishing this painting I went to see the play "The Lion, The Witch and The Warbrobe" from the "Narnia" series by C.S. Lewis. The next day, looking at this painting of a man and woman lounging by a pool, I thought maybe that's what the parents of Susan, Lucy, Edmund and Peter were doing while their kids were in the magic land of Narnia.

This is taken from an earlier work called "Watching the Children."
