Taken from a film with music by Phillip Glass, Koyaanisqatsi is a Hopi word that means Life Out of Balance. I was playing around with cut-up bits and pieces of various painted wood and canvas constructions and these pieces accidentally fell together in almost this order. A few adjustments and ... Voila! 

You'll notice that the next picture is also titled after a Phillip Glass composition. I frequently use song titles and they are often songs I was listening to while painting.
