Houdini Like many of my paintings, this one was painted over an old painting that I was less than perfectly satisfied with. It is also the first painting completed after a long period of inactivity. After my heart surgery in 2001, it took me a long time to get back to work. Since then I've completed very few paintings. Even after this one, I waited about five months before starting another new painting. But as of Oct. 2006 I seem to be back in the swing. I just finished another new work ("Casper") and have three new paintings underway. I guess time will tell if I can keep that up. |
