Easter Island
(32" x 24", oil on canvas, May 1996)

This one has the feel of something primitive and mysterious, which is why I named it Easter Island, referring to those strange statues on that island. It also has a look to it that I think is much more like some of my much later work. Maybe I was getting ahead of myself with this one and didn't know it at the time.
