Breakthrough   (31.5" x 47.5", oil on canvas, Feb. 2001) One of many, many paintings layered over an older painting.  The pinkish stripes and curved shapes bottom right are thinly stained canvas … almost raw.  Same for the similar shape top center.  Everything else is thickly covered with layers of paint
